Employers are invited to network with Rocket student-athletes for internships, jobs, and career opportunities.
TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo's Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) will host its ninth annual "Rockets Rise: Networking & NIL Night" on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2027 in Savage Arena. The event will bring together Rocket student-athletes and employers from throughout the region to build professional relationships and explore opportunities for part-time & full-time jobs, internships, mentorships, employment and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
Rockets Rise: Networking & NIL Night is designed to prepare Toledo's student-athletes for life after college by providing them with the opportunity to meet and interact with leaders from the business, education, government, healthcare and other professional sectors.
Employers will have the opportunity to connect with student-athletes from Toledo's 17 varsity sports while discussing potential opportunities in their respective industries. Companies are encouraged to participate whether they currently have internship or employment openings or simply want to build relationships with the next generation of professionals.
"Rockets Rise: Networking & NIL Night provides a tremendous opportunity for our student-athletes to connect with employers and begin building relationships that can have an impact well beyond their time at the University of Toledo," said Director of Student-Athlete Development Traci Snyder. "Our student-athletes bring discipline, leadership, teamwork and a strong work ethic to everything they do, and this event gives them an opportunity to showcase those qualities while learning about different career paths and professional opportunities."
The 2026 Rockets Rise event attracted more than 250 Toledo student-athletes and representatives from more than 50 organizations, making it the largest turnout in the event's history. The event also provided opportunities for student-athletes to connect with members of the Rockets Ascend Pathways Program and explore potential career and NIL relationships.
Rockets Rise: Networking & NIL Night is one of several career-development initiatives offered by SASS, which also include resume workshops, job-shadowing opportunities and the Rockets Ascend Pathways Program. These programs are designed to help Rocket student-athletes develop the skills, relationships and experiences they need to succeed during their college careers and beyond.
Who Are We Looking For?
Employers and companies from all industries are encouraged to participate, particularly those offering internships, experiential learning, part-time employment, full-time employment or NIL opportunities that align with the diverse career interests of Toledo student-athletes.
