Academic Sport Responsibilities: Baseball
Traci Snyder was named the first-ever Director of Student-Athlete Development at the University of Toledo in August of 2023.
The Director of Student-Athlete Development is a new role within Toledo Athletics, made possible by
generous 1923 Society supporters. In her position, Snyder oversees the development of student-athletes through career and personal development, community service and outreach activities, internship programming, and serve as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee (SAAC).
Snyder previously served as a senior admissions advisor at Eastern Michigan University since 2019. She also worked as a student-athlete development specialist in EMU's Student-Athlete Support Services Office from 2016-19.
Snyder earned both her bachelor's degree in elementary education and her master's degree in professional development with a focus on athletic administration from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. She was a four-year letter winner for the gymnastics team at UW-Whitewater, earning Academic All-America honors in 2010. She also earned a letter on the diving team in 2011.
Snyder served as the head gymnastics coach and program director of CSA Kids Gymnastics in Wisconsin from 2011-16, and as a club coach at Splitz Gymnastics in Canton, Mich. from 2016-21. She also served as the gymnastics meet director at EMU for the past four seasons.
Snyder resides in Holland with her husband, Gene Snyder.
