Rockets to meet Dukes for second-straight year in third-annual event
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's basketball team will travel to Harrisonburg, Va. to face James Madison in its second matchup of this season's MAC-SBC Challenge. The game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 4:00 p.m. in the Athletic Union Bank Center.
The MAC-SBC Challenge is a scheduling alliance of the men's and women's basketball programs in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Sun Belt Conference (SBC). The matchups between 13 Mid-American Conference and 13 Sun Belt Conference men's programs were determined by real-time NET rankings after this past weekend's games.
Toledo rallied from a 16-point first-half deficit to post a 72-69 victory over JMU last February in its first meeting ever against the Dukes. The Rockets dropped a 76-74 home decision to South Alabama in November in its first MAC-SBC Challenge this season.
Toledo (8-6, 2-0 MAC) is back in action again tonight when it faces Northern Illinois (5-9, 1-2 MAC) in DeKalb. Tip-off time is set for 8:00 p.m. EST with streaming on ESPN+.
