Rockets Host Kent State in Midweek MAC Conference Matchup on Wednesday

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team returns to Savage Arena for the first time in two weeks when the Rockets take on Kent State on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7:00 p.m.

The Rockets (9-8, 4-3 MAC) are coming off a key road win on Saturday, knocking off Ohio, 75-66, in Athens. A season-high five Rockets scored in double figures in the victory. Toledo was led by Faith Fedd-Robinson, who scored 16 points on 7-of-13 from the field. She added eight rebounds, six assists and two steals in the victory.

The Golden Flashes (9-10, 4-4 MAC) have won four games in a row after dropping their first four MAC contests. KSU won at Buffalo, 84-74, on Saturday behind a career-high 25 points from Riley Rismiller.

Toledo is sixth in the MAC standings and Kent State is seventh entering the week.

Opening Tips

Toledo is 6-2 at home this season and 3-0 in MAC play. The Rockets have defeated Buffalo, 79-46, Western Michigan, 59-46 and Northern Illinois, 70-49, in conference action.

Toledo dominated the glass in the win at Ohio, out-rebounding the Bobcats, 43-28. The Rockets have out-rebounded four of their seven MAC opponents by at least 14 boards. The Rockets also have at least 12 offensive rebounds five times in MAC play.
Defensively, Toledo has allowed just 59.7 points per game in conference play, holding three opponents below 50 points. On Saturday, the Rockets held Ohio to 36.7% from the field, Toledo's third-lowest defensive field goal percentage this season.

Miriam Diala is third in the MAC, shooting 57.0% from the field, while Faith Fedd-Robinson is 10th (52.2%) and Evalyse Cole is 16th (48.3%). Cole was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field at Ohio.
Kendall Carruthers is 14th on the league scoring chart (13.0) and 18th on the assist chart (2.5). Fedd-Robinson is 19th in scoring (12.3) and 20th in assists (2.4).
Fedd-Robinson is 15th in rebounds (5.6) while Cole is 20th (5.0).
Graduate student Patricia Anumgba is 15th in three-point percentage (34.7%) and 13th in three-pointers per game (1.5). She has knocked down 10 triples in her last three games.
Fedd-Robinson is tied for sixth in blocks with 14 for the season.
