Nomination celebrates student-athletes' community service along with academic and athletic achievement
TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo women's basketball student-athlete Cadence Dykstra and men's basketball student-athlete Tyler Ode have been nominated for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Winter Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

Toledo's nominees celebrate their leadership beyond sports, with a particular emphasis on community service, along with strong academic and athletic achievements. Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) teamed up to expand eligibility to all sports and divisions for the 2025-26 athletics year.

Dykstra, a junior guard from Grand Rapids, Mich., has played in 74 games as a Rocket, totaling 152 points, 111 rebounds and 90 assists in her Toledo career. She has volunteered with several local organizations including Connecting Kids to Meals, the Channel 13 News Toy Drive, at the Ronald McDonald House and at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC). Dykstra is a CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-MAC selection.

Ode is a sophomore guard from Saginaw, Michi., has played in 20 games in two seasons as a Rocket. He has spent several hours with the program's Team Impact member. He also serves as a representative on Toledo's student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) and has made the Dean's List .

The final Allstate NACDA Good Works Winter Team will be announced in the beginning of February.
