Enriquez and Sudbrook to be honored at 2026 MAC Honors Dinner in Cleveland
TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo softball player Eli Enriquez and baseball player Troy Sudbrook were selected as recipients of the 2026 Mid-American Conference Medal of Excellence, the league office announced on Thursday.
The MAC Medal of Excellence is presented annually to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each of the conference's 13 member institutions. The individuals selected for the award have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and through demonstrated leadership and service.
Enriquez and Sudbrook will be awarded the Medal of Excellence at the 2026 MAC Honors Dinner in Cleveland on Thursday, May 28.
Enriquez is a two-time All-MAC Second Team honoree and has competed in 132 games across her three-year Rocket career. She led the softball team in batting average (.359), runs (40), hits (61) and stolen bases (8) in her final collegiate season. Enriquez ranks second in career batting average (.387), on-base percentage (.430), runs scored (119) and triples (10), while ranking fourth in stolen bases (64) and fifth in slugging percentage (.521). A three-time NFCA Scholar Athlete award winner, two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and Academic All-MAC honoree, Enriquez graduated with a 3.827 GPA in management.
Sudbrook is a First Team All-MAC and MAC All-Defensive Team honoree who has seen action in over 150 contests with the Midnight Blue and Gold. The Rockets have made three-consecutive MAC Tournament appearances with Sudbrook on the roster. The Avon, Ohio native leads the team in hits (79), doubles (32), home runs (9) and slugging percentage (.660) during the 2026 season and has recorded over 175 hits and 130 runs scored throughout his career. This season, Sudbrook has set the program's single-season RBI and doubles records. He graduated summa cum laude with degrees in finance and supply chain management and is currently working towards his MBA with an overall 4.00 GPA. He was also recently named to the NCBWA Tony Gwynn Community Service Trophy 'Starting 9.'
