TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo will look to win its second consecutive home game when it hosts Morgan State at the Glass Bowl on Saturday, Sept. 13 (3:30 p.m./ESPN+).
The Rockets (1-1) are coming off a dominating 45-21 victory over Western Kentucky in their home opener before a crowd of 24,138 last Saturday. Toledo led 14-0 barely three minutes into the game and held a 45-7 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Senior running back
Chip Trayanum paced the running attack with a career-high 163 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. He also caught his first career TD reception. Senior wide receiver
Junior Vandeross III led UT receivers with five receptions for 122 yards and one score.
The Toledo defense dominated the Hilltoppers, containing WKU's passing attack, which came into the contest averaging 400 yards per contest, and holding it to just 59 yards on the ground while forcing two turnovers and sacking Hilltopper quarterback Maverick McIvor twice.
The victory was No. 74 for Head Coach
Jason Candle, moving him ahead of Gary Pinkel to become the Rockets' all-time leader.
Morgan State (0-2) is coming off a 27-22 loss to cross-town rival Towson last week. The Bears lost at South Alabama in their season opener, 38-21.

Chip Trayanum was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance vs. Western Kentucky. He rushed for a career-high 163 yards on 14 carries vs. WKU and scored his first two rushing touchdowns as a Rocket, a one-yarder in the first quarter and a 75-yarder in the third quarter. He also caught a TD pass.

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren's pick-six vs. WKU was his first career touchdown. It was his fourth career interception. McNeil-Warren also recovered a fumble for the second consecutive week.
