2025-26 Toledo Women's Rowing Schedule

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo Women's Rowing program will make history this fall, launching its inaugural season with a schedule that features the program's first-ever regatta on the Maumee River in downtown Toledo. Head coach Chris Bailey-Greene announced the Rockets' 2025-26 slate today, highlighted by the Glass City Regatta on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 9:30 a.m., giving fans their first chance to see the Midnight Blue and Gold in action on home waters.

The Rockets' fall campaign also includes trips to Pittsburgh for the Yinzer Cup on Oct. 11 and to Philadelphia for the Head of the Schuylkill on Oct. 25, before closing out the autumn at the Bald Eagle Collegiate in Indianapolis on either Nov. 1 or 2.

The spring season begins April 4 at the Lubbers Cup in Grand Rapids, Mich., followed by a two-day appearance at the SIRA Championship Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tenn. on April 18-19. Toledo will also race against MAC foe Eastern Michigan on April 25 before traveling to Duquesne on May 2 and returning to Ypsilanti for the MAC Championships on May 16.

Bailey-Greene, who has spent the past eight months building the foundation of the program, said the first season will be about both competition and culture.

"We as a staff and team are really excited to get going," said Bailey-Greene. "For the last eight months we have been setting up the groundwork for the squad. To think about training and racing is refreshing and welcomed. Toledo Rowing will be staying local for many races throughout the year, but also traveling to the East Coast and farther south, seeing all forms of competition, speeds, and new race courses along the journey."

The Rockets' roster will feature both experienced rowers and student-athletes brand new to the sport. Bailey-Greene believes the year will be defined by learning, growth, and the building of strong bonds among teammates.

"It will be exciting to have new Rocket student-athletes who have never touched an oar in boats and learning our great sport," said Bailey-Greene. "Focusing in between the gunwales and the learning process, all while finding athlete ceilings through training and technical understanding will elevate the squad exponentially. We are thrilled to be representing the University of Toledo very soon in the Midnight Blue and Gold on the Maumee River."
