TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming & diving program announced the signing of nine newcomers to its 2025 recruiting class, Head Coach

Tiana Temelkova are the swimming additions while second-year diving coach

"I am so excited for our incoming class," said Dyer. "Not only will all of them make an immediate impact in the pool and classroom, every single one of them will make an impact as a great teammate. This class is excited to start building Toledo Swimming and Diving to what the coaches believe it can be. Our returning student-athletes have worked hard on building a great culture during the spring and are continuing that into the summer. They will do a great job to help this big incoming class to acclimate and be ready to make a great impact."

Fallon Amedia | Canfield, Ohio | Canfield HS
Fallon Amedia is a four-year letterwinner at Canfield High School. She was a four-time conference champion, is a two-time diver of the year, district runner-up and won the district championship her senior season. Amedia was ranked top-15 in Ohio for three straight years and owns both school records for diving at CHS.
Why Toledo? "It's a beautiful campus with a strong program in the field I am pursuing. It is also close to home, which is important to me. When I visited, the team was really friendly and the coaches were especially welcoming and supportive."
Lindsay Bright | Circleville, Ohio | Logan Elm HS
Lindsay Bright is a three-year letterwinner from Logan Elm High School. She is a three-time state qualifier and became the first swimmer from LEHS to qualify for the state meet in over 25 years. Bright was the 2022 Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Female Swimmer of the Year and holds the record for every event at LEHS. She was a YMCA National Qualifier and was a finalist in the 800 freestyle in the YMCA Nationals in 2024.
Why Toledo? "I think UToledo was the perfect place for me because of how the team acted towards me and how the coaches were. I also really liked the campus and I heard great things about their business program. I believe the coaches see potential in me and are excited to work with me, and the team was nothing but welcoming when I visited!"
Grace Henely | Grafton, Ohio | Midview HS | Niagara
Grace Henely will join as the Rockets as a sophomore after spending her freshman season at Niagara University and breaking the pool record in the 800 free relay. She also placed 12
th in the 200 breast and 16
th in the 100 breast finals at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships. Henley was a three-time letterwinner in swimming, cross country and track & field at Midview High School. She was a two-time district champion in the 100 breast and qualified for the OHSAA State Championship twice in the 100 breast.
Why Toledo? "I loved the coach and the girls I met were so nice and welcoming! I also loved the nursing program and felt this was a good fit for me."
Claire Kemmere | Findlay, Ohio | Findlay HS
Claire Kemmere is a four-year letterwinner at Findlay High School. She earned TRAC First- and Second-Team honors as well as Northern Lakes First- and Second-Team accolades. Kemmere swam at Bowling Green Swim Club.
Why Toledo? "I chose to attend the University of Toledo because of the warm and welcoming environment among my future teammates, coaches, and peers."
Helena Pinto Coelho Lopes | Belo Horizonte, Brazil | Colegio Saber | Georgia
Helena Lopes joins the Rockets for her sophomore season after competing at the University of Georgia in 2024-25, placing 22
nd in the 100 free, 28
th in the 50 free and 30
th in the 100 fly at the UGA Fall Invitational. She swam for the Minas Tenis Clube in high school, earning second-place in the 100m free at the 2023 South American Junior Championship. Pinto Coelho Lopes also placed 12th in the 100m free and 14
th in the 50m free at the 2023 Brazilian Championships. She competed in a national and junior meet in May 2025, winning the 400 medley relay and 800 free relay, placing second in the 400 free relay and 400 medley relay, third in the 50 free, fifth in the 100 free.
Why Toledo? "I chose the University of Toledo because of the top-notch swimming program and the high quality academics!"
Kenzie Robinson | Union City, Ga. | Riverwood HS
Kenzie Robinson lettered all four years of her prep career at Riverwood High School. She was the 2024 Georgia State Champion in the 200 free relay and owns the school record in four events – 50 free, 200 free relay, 200 IM relay and 100 back. Robinson swam for the Metro Atlanta Aquatics Club.
Why Toledo? "Toledo offered my anticipated major of pre-dental."
Maggie Spybrook | Kalamazoo, Mich. | Kalamazoo Central HS
Maggie Spybrook is a four-year letterwinner at Kalamazoo Central High School. She was the Michigan State Champ in the 100 fly during her senior season and was a two-time all-state and four-time all-conference honoree. Spybrook owns the KCHS school record in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke.
Why Toledo? "I loved the campus and the coaches as well as the balance of athletics and academics."
Tiana Temelkova | Plovdiv, Bulgaria | Vasil Levski High School
Tiana Temelkova owns career times of 51.21 in the 100 free, 1:49.87 in the 200 free and 4:56.78 in the 500 free. She swims competitively with VSI Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
Why Toledo? "I chose to come to Toledo because I believe in the coaches and the team. I see myself accomplishing great things at the University of Toledo!"
Ryann Velasquez | Las Vegas, Nev. | Palo Verde HS
Ryann Velasquez is a four-year letterwinner at Palo Verde High School. She is a four-time state championship qualifier in Nevada and was a 2023 and 2024 all-conference honorable mention. She competed with the Team Rebel Aquatics Diving team.
Why Toledo? "I love the campus and felt so welcomed by the swimming and diving coaching staff and team."
