TOLEDO, Ohio – Head coach Tod Kowalczyk announced Tuesday that 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward Sean Craig (Sylvania, Ohio) will transfer to the University of Toledo to join the Rockets' men's basketball program next season. Craig has one year of eligibility remaining after playing last season at IU-Indy and the previous two years at the University of Indianapolis.

"We're really excited to have Sean join our program," Kowalczyk said. "Sean was exactly what we're looking for and it was perfect timing. We wanted a skilled, tough, perimeter-oriented four-man and that's what he is. Most importantly is that he's a high-character guy from a great family who loves the Toledo community and wants to represent our program the best way he possibly can."

Craig served as one of U-Indy's captains last year, averaging 12.1 ppg and ranking fourth in the Horizon League with a team-high 7.7 rpg in 32.1 mpg. He was the only Jaguar to start all 32 games and ranked second on the team with 35 steals and third with 56 three-point field goals and a 37.6 three-point FG%. Craig registered double-digit scoring totals in 19 contests, including season-high 26 points at Wright State.

Craig is a 2022 graduate of Sylvania Northview High School, where he was a finalist for Ohio Mr. Basketball and a two-time Toledo Blade Player of the Year. He averaged 28.2 ppg in his senior year, 20.2 ppg as a junior, and 20.3 ppg as a sophomore.

Craig is the fifth transfer the Rockets have added this spring, joining  Austin Parks (Ohio State), Chris Riddle (DePaul), Mynor Strong (Dodge City CC) and Kyler Vanderjagt (Central Michigan).  Toledo also signed high-school recruits Leroy Blyden Jr. (Detroit, Mich.), Phoenix Glassnor (Port Huron, Mich.) Will James Jr. (Holly Springs, N.C.), Toby Nwokolo (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) and London Praytor (Colorado Springs, Colo.) to National Letters of Intent last fall.
