Senior birdies final hole and earns spot on MAC's All-Tournament Team
GROVE CITY, Ohio – Senior Jamie Butler birdied his final hole to tie for fourth place and earn a spot on the all-tournament team at this year's Mid-American Conference Men's Golf Championships. The Rockets finished in sixth place in the team standings at 18-over par at the par-72, 7,462-yard Pinnacle Golf Club.
Butler entered the final round tied for sixth place and was just one of seven golfers to shoot even-par or better today. He finished at two-under par over 54 holes and tied for the tournament lead with 15 birdies.
"We're so happy for Jamie, he's worked so hard over the years," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "To have everything come together in his final season and moreover his final tournament was really special."

Freshman Bence Bertenyi also registered a Top 10 showing for the Rockets, tying for 11th place at three-over par.
Rounding out the Rockets' lineup were senior CJ van Wyk tied for 21st place, freshman Julius Lange tied for 30th place, and junior Mads Jensen tied for 38th place.
Kent State captured the tournament title at 10-under par after carding a two-over par 290 in the final round. The Golden Flashes entered today's action three strokes behind Eastern Michigan. The Golden Flashes' Jordan Gilkison earned medalist honors with an eight-under par 208, three shots in front of the Eagles' Rory McDonald-O'Brien.
