TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's golf team will receive its final tuneup for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships when it travels to the Hoosier State this weekend to compete in Purdue's Boilermaker Invitational. The tournament will take place on Saturday-Sunday, April 19-20 at the Ackerman-Allen Course in West Lafayette, Ind.
The Field
Toledo will be competing against an 18-team field that includes No. 11 Illinois, No. 37 Purdue, No. 38 Notre Dame, and No. 50 Marquette as well as Mid-American Conference foes Ball State, Bowling Green, Miami, and Northern Illinois. Also competing are Butler, DePaul, Georgetown, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, South Dakota and South Dakota State.
Tournament Lineup
Toledo's lineup will consist of senior
CJ van Wyk at the No. 1 position followed by senior
Jamie Butler at No. 2, junior
Mads Jensen at No. 3, freshman Bence Bertenyi at No. 4, and freshman
Julius Lange at No. 5. Junior
Bence Kotel and sophomore
Marijn Hoogeveen will compete in an individual tournament on Purdue's Kampen Course.

CJ van Wyk registered a season-best eighth-place finish on Tuesday to lead Toledo at Virginia's Lewis Chitengwa Memorial. It was the second straight year that van Wyk posted a Top 10 showing at the event that included six of the Top 100 golfers in the nation.
Senior
Jamie Butler also registered a strong finish for Toledo, tying for 25
th place at four-over par 217. Butler was at even-par in the final round through 12 holes before registering a triple bogey and two bogeys the remainder of his round.
