Freshman Bence Bertenyi ties for 11th place with junior Mads Jensen tying for fifth as individual
WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Toledo men's golf team shot a one-under par 283 for a second-straight round on Tuesday to post a sixth-place finish at UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate. The Rockets finished with a three-round team score of 14-over par 866 at the par-71, 6,810-yard Cape Fear Country Club.
Freshman Bence Bertenyi tied for 11th place to lead the Rockets with an even-par 213 (76-65-72). Senior CJ van Wyk carded the Rockets' best round of the day with a two-under par 69 and finished in 22nd place at three-over par 216 (77-70-69).
Junior Mads Jensen competed as an individual and tied for a career-best fifth place with a career-low four-under par 209 (76-64-69).
Toledo returns to action when it travels to Tennessee for Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday-Sunday, April 4-6.
