TOLEDO, Ohio – The No. 2 seed Toledo women's basketball team begins its run at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championship with a quarterfinal matchup against No. 7 Central Michigan at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. Toledo and Central Michigan will tip off at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday and will air on ESPN+, WCWA 1230 AM and The Varsity Network app.

The Rockets (22-7, 13-5 MAC) make their fourth-straight appearance in the MAC Tournament as a top-two seed, having reached at least the semifinals in their last three trips and winning the 2023 tourney. Central Michigan (14-16, 9-9 MAC) will play in its first tournament game since 2021.

Toledo won 10 of its last 12 games to close the regular season and clinched the No. 2 seed on Wednesday with a 79-70 win at Northern Illinois. The Rockets were defeated 69-62 by Kent State in the regular season finale.
Nan Garcia had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds at KSU.

The Chippewas won their final two games of the regular season, 69-66 (OT) against Miami and 70-61 against Akron. The Wednesday victory over the RedHawks clinched their spot in the tournament.

Toledo won both matchups in the regular season, 71-66 in Mt. Pleasant on Jan. 11 and 80-70 at Savage Arena on March 1. Toledo leads the all-time series, 58-36 and the two teams are tied, 3-3 in neutral site games. The Rockets and Chippewas last matched up in the MAC Tournament on March 11, 2020, a 78-71 Rocket victory.

Rockets Earn Four MAC Awards
- Toledo took four postseason MAC honors on Tuesday, including one of the league's five major honors.
- Nan Garcia earned the league's Sixth Player of the Year honor, her first MAC postseason honor of her career.
- Toledo has earned a major MAC honor four years in row, earning Sixth Player of the Year in 2021-22 (Hannah Noveroske) and 2024-25 (Garcia) and Player of the Year in 2022-23 (Quinesha Lockett) and 2023-24 (Sophia Wiard).
- Sammi Mikonowicz was named Second-Team All-MAC, Kendall Carruthers took an Honorable Mention All-MAC honor and Faith Fedd-Robinson was named to the All-Freshman Team.
- Mikonowicz took an All-MAC selection for the second-straight year (third team in 2023-24) while Carruthers was a first-team All-NEC honoree as a freshman at St. Francis (Pa.) last season.

- Toledo looks to win its 10th MAC Tournament title and second in three years.
- The Rockets have won their last four quarterfinal games with victories in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Toledo defeated Western Michigan, 72-61 in last season's quarterfinals.
