TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team looks to win its second-straight road game and fourth in a row overall when the Rockets travel to Buffalo for an 11:00 a.m. tip on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The matchup will be streamed on ESPN+ with radio broadcasts on WCWA 1230 AM and The Varsity Network App.

At 7-3 in the MAC, Toledo is in fourth place in the standings, three games behind first-place Ball State. Buffalo is 8-2 in league play and tied for second place with Kent State.

The Rockets (15-5) defeated Eastern Michigan, 77-49, on Saturday for their biggest margin of victory in conference play. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Sammi Mikonowicz with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting while Kendall Carruthers added 14. Cadence Dykstra scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds and had a team-high four assists.

The Bulls (19-2) defeated Northern Illinois in a 84-58 blowout on Saturday. Chellia Watson scored 24 points while Kirsten Lewis-Williams added 19. Buffalo has won six straight games heading into Wednesday's matchup.

Toledo leads the all-time series 28-10 and is 9-7 on the road. Wednesday will be UT's first game in Buffalo in the series since Jan. 23, 2021. The Bulls will make a return trip to Savage Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Sammi Mikonowicz Shines in Big Week
- Sammi Mikonowicz helped lead the Rockets to a 2-0 week, scoring 17 points and grabbing six rebounds in each win against Miami and Eastern Michigan.
- Mikonowicz shot 12-of-18 (.667) from the field for the week and 7-of-8 at the free throw line.
- She scored Toledo's first nine points against Eastern Michigan, and finished with 11 points in the first quarter alone, shooting 5-of-5 from the field.
- Mikonowicz is sixth in the league in field goal percentage (50.3%), seventh in three-point percentage (38.2%) and 10th in rebounds per game (5.8).
- On Wednesday, Mikonowicz became just the second player in Toledo history to reach 1,000 career rebounds, joining Angela Drake in the exclusive club.
- The Rossford, Ohio native is the only active player in the MAC with 1,000 career rebounds.
- Toledo is 6-4 away from Savage Arena this season and 4-3 in true road games.
