Rockets Host Buffalo in Top-Three MAC Matchup on Wednesday

Toledo enters contests third in MAC standings while Buffalo is second
TOLEDO, Ohio – For the second time in three weeks, the Toledo women's basketball team will face Buffalo, taking on the Bulls at Savage Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+, with radio broadcasts on WCWA 1230 AM and The Varsity Network app.
The Rockets (19-6, 10-4 MAC) are in third place in the MAC standings, two games behind first-place Ball State. Toledo clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament on Saturday. Buffalo (22-4, 11-3 MAC) is in second place, one game behind Ball State. UB also clinched a spot in the conference tournament last week.
Toledo saw a seven-game winning streak snapped at Bowling Green, 81-72, on Saturday. Toledo was led by Nan Garcia with 18 points while Kendall Carruthers added 16. Toledo is 11-1 at home this season, having defeated Ball State, 70-66 in its last matchup at Savage Arena.
The Bulls defeated Miami, 68-54, in Oxford on Saturday. Chellia Watson recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Buffalo is winners of three straight and has a 10-2 road record this season.
Toledo leads the all-time series, 29-10, including a 58-55 victory at Buffalo on Feb. 5. The Rockets are 15-2 all-time at home in the series.
