Men’s and women’s basketball compete in non-conference action on the road

Toledo (5-4) travels to Moon Township, Pa. to face Robert Morris (7-4, 1-1 Horizon) on Saturday, Dec. 13. Tip-off time from the UPMC Events Central is set for 1:00 p.m. with streaming on ESPN+. The Rockets are led by the backcourt duo of Sonny Wilson (15.6 ppg) and Leroy Blyden (14.7 ppg) along with the frontcourt tandem of Sean Craig (13.7 ppg) and Austin Parks (11.9 ppg). Craig leads UT with 8.0 rpg, with Blyden setting the pace with 5.2 apg and 2.2 spg.

Toledo returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 14 at No. 24 Ohio State. Tip-off from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus is at 1:00 p.m. on B1G+. This marks the first matchup against the Buckeyes since 1981 and the first ranked opponent since competing against No. 10 Maryland last season. Junior Kendall Carruthers starred in a breakout week against Morgan State and Northern Iowa, averaging 23.0 points and 4.0 rebounds, and shooting 72.0% from the floor. Her 27 points and 10 field goals against Morgan State were both her most in a Rocket uniform.
