Toledo enters conference play coming off back-to-back victories
TOLEDO, Ohio – In its first game of the Mid-American Conference schedule and its last game of 2025, the Toledo women's basketball team will welcome Buffalo to Savage Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Tipoff on New Year's Eve will be at 2:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and the Rocket Radio Network.
The Rockets (5-5) won back-to-back games leading into conference play with a 75-63 victory over Wayne State and a 64-43 road triumph at Long Beach State on Dec. 22. In the victory over the Beach, sophomores Faith Fedd-Robinson (6-of-10) and Miriam Diala (5-of-6) each led with 12 points. Classmate Evalyse Cole chipped in nine points and eight rebounds and junior Lizzy Puot made all three field goals for seven points off the bench.
The Bulls (2-9) have dropped three straight heading into Wednesday's matchup. They most recently fell to Abilene Christian, 72-48 on Dec. 20.
The two sides met three times last year, with Toledo taking close contests all three times. The Rockets twice won by three points in the regular season (58-55, 71-68) before a 56-49 in the MAC Tournament semifinals.
