Emmanuel McNeil-Warren Named to AP All-America Team

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo senior safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren was named to the Associated Press' All-America Team on Monday, earning a place on the AP's third team by the 52 members of the Top 25 media voting panel.

McNeil-Warren, a 2025 first-team All-MAC selection, has 73 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and four pass breakups on the season. He is among national leaders in forced fumbles (3) and in fumbles recovered (2).

The AP All-America Team is one of the "big five" college football All-America teams -- along with The Sporting News, Walter Camp, FWAA and AFCA -- that make up the determination for a player to be determined as a "consensus All-American." A player must make first-team All-America on at least three of the five teams to be a consensus choice, or all five to be a "unanimous All-American."

McNeil-Warren is just the second Rocket to make the AP All-America Team in the past 18 years. His former teammate, cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, made the third team in 2022 and the second team in 2023. Mitchell went on to become a first-round draft pick and runner-up for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year for Super Bowl champion Philadelphia in 2024.

McNeil-Warren has accepted an invitation to play in the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl and has also been invited to play in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl. He was a semifinalist for the 2025 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award honoring the nation's top defensive back. The Tampa, Fla. native is the first Rocket to be named a Thorpe semifinalist since Barry Church in 2009 and the first MAC defensive back to be named a semifinalist since 2015.
