Austin Parks leads five Rockets in double figures with 27 points
TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior Austin Parks tallied a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds and the Toledo men's basketball team (5-3) delivered a dominant performance in a 102-58 victory over Central State (Ohio) on Monday night in Savage Arena.
Toledo controlled the game from start to finish, jumping out to a 46-21 halftime lead and never looking back. The Rockets shot 51.3% from the field and outscored Central State 66-34 in the paint.
Parks was efficient offensively for Toledo, shooting 10-of-12 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Freshman London Praytor also notched a double-double off the bench, finishing with a season-high 12 points and 12 boards.
Also scoring in double digits for the Rockets were freshman Will James Jr. (season-high 12 pts. & 6 asst.), freshman Leroy Blyden Jr. (11 pts., 6 asst.) and junior Sonny Wilson (11 pts.).
Toledo dominated the glass by a 55-20 margin with sophomore Jaylan Ouwinga grabbing a career-high 10 boards as one of three Rockets to grab a double-figure rebound total.
Armoni Portis pace Central State offensively with 11 points.

"I think we did what we should do against a non-Division I team. We should overpower them and that's what happened tonight. For us to have 23 assists and nine turnovers was great and our rebounding was awesome too. Austin Parks is continuing to gain confidence after not playing much in the last couple of years. Tonight was a big step in the right direction for him."
