Rockets to face Norse for second year in a row
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team goes on the road Wednesday to Truist Arena in Highland Heights, Ky. for a matchup against Northern Kentucky. Tip-off is at 11:00 a.m. on ESPN +.
The Rockets (1-2) are on their second of three Horizon League contests in a row after knocking off Detroit Mercy, 66-52, in Savage Arena last Sunday. Toledo will travel to Youngstown State on Nov. 25 to complete their Horizon League stretch. Northern Kentucky (0-4) has opened the season with four losses by 15 points or more to Marshall, No. 20Â Louisville, Ball State and Butler.
Toledo leads the all-time series vs. the Norse, 1-0. The only previous contest between the two schools came on Nov. 17 of last season, which ended in a 76-73 Rockets' victory. Toledo trailed by 10 at halftime, but came back to win on Nan Garcia's game-winning putback with 2.8 seconds left.
Northern Kentucky was picked to finish sixth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll.
