TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo senior quarterback
Tucker Gleason has been recognized as a Manning Award Star of the Week, the Manning Award sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl has announced this week.

Gleason led Toledo's offense to a 42-3 victory over Northern Illinois on Wednesday, completing 25-of-31 passes for 309 yards with two touchdowns and adding a third score on the ground. The 309 yards was a season high and marked Gleason's fifth career game of at least 300 passing yards.

The Florida native also hit two career milestones, becoming the ninth player in Toledo history with 6,000 passing yards and the sixth with 50 passing TDs.

Gleason was named among eight quarterbacks from FBS schools, and was the only quarterback from the Mid-American Conference to be recognized. He was also selected as the MAC Offensive Player of the Week earlier today.

Earlier this season, Gleason was named to the Davey O'Brien Foundation's "Great 8" after his Week 5 performance against Akron.

Fans can vote to select the overall Manning Quarterback of the Week online. Voting closes at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday and the top vote-getter will receive the Quarterback of the Week nod.
