Toledo looking for fifth-straight victory in series
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team will host its Northwest Ohio rivals in Bowling Green at Savage Arena for the season's first game in the Battle of I-75 on Saturday. Tipoff will be at 2:00 p.m. with streaming on ESPN+ and radio on WCWA 1230 AM and The Varsity Network App.

Toledo is tied for fifth place in the MAC entering the weekend, while Bowling Green is in a three-way tie for seventh.

The Rockets (12-5, 4-3 MAC) fell to Ball State, 77-63 at Worthen Arena on Monday. Nan Garcia led Toledo on the scoresheet and set three season highs, scoring 17 points, shooting 6-of-12 from the floor and making three baskets from three-point range. Sammi Mikonowicz pitched in with 12 points and eight rebounds. The Rockets enter Saturday's action 7-1 at home this season.

The Falcons (9-9, 3-4 MAC) were defeated by Western Michigan, 63-60, at home on Wednesday. Bowling Green was outscored by the Broncos, 23-12, in the fourth quarter. Erika Porter led BG with 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while Amy Velasco added 15 points. BGSU is 1-7 on the road this season.
