Toledo and ODU will play in the programs' second all-time meeting
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference has announced the Toledo women's basketball team will play at Old Dominion on Saturday, Feb. 8 for Toledo's second game in the MAC-SBC Challenge this season.

The Rockets and Monarchs will square off from Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Va. Tipoff on Feb. 8 will be at 2:00 p.m. and the matchup will air on an ESPN network. Old Dominion is 12-5 on the season and 4-1 in Sun Belt play.

In the matchup with ODU, the Rockets will look to achieve a 5-0 record against the Sun Belt Conference over the past two seasons. Toledo defeated James Madison and ULM last year and Marshall in the first round of this season's MAC-SBC Challenge, along with a victory against Troy at the Cherokee Invitational on Dec. 18.

The MAC-SBC Challenge pairs up all 12 MAC institutions with 12 Sun Belt Conference institutions for both men's and women's basketball. The Feb. 8 matchups were determined using real-time NET rankings. The series is in its second season.

Each MAC member will travel to an SBC school for women's basketball while each MAC member will host on the men's side. For men's basketball, Toledo will host James Madison at Savage Arena on Feb. 8.

Toledo and Old Dominion met in the 1996 NCAA Tournament, with ODU taking a 72-66 victory in Norfolk in the two sides' only all-time meeting.
