NCAA Regional competitor joins Rockets from Oklahoma
TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo Associate Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach Tito Medrano announced the signing of transfer Dominic Serem for the 2024 season.

Serem is transferring from Oklahoma, where he spent one season with the Sooners. He also joins Loann Brelivet in transferring to Toledo from the Big 12, as Brelivet signed with the Rockets in April as a transfer from Oklahoma State.

Serem ran distance during the 2023-24 track & field seasons. In February, he PRed in the 3000m (7:56.70) to finish fourth at Wisconsin's Windy City Invite before also finishing fourth at the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championships.

During the outdoor season, Serem PRed in the 5000m (13:52.68) at the Stanford Invitational and the 1500m (3:41.35) at the Arkansas Twilight. He finished eighth in the 1500m (3:45.70) at the Big 12 Outdoor Championship and competed in the NCAA West First Round, finishing 14th in the 1500m (3:41.69).

Toledo enters the 2024 men's cross country season with the defending Mid-American Conference individual champion in Dennis Mutai and as the team runner-up a season ago.
