Jerjuan Newton, Darius Alexander, Maxen Hook and Jacquez Stuart named to first-team

TOLEDO, Ohio – Phil Steele's preseason All-MAC team was announced this week with 13 Toledo players named to 14 slots on the four teams.

Four Rocket seniors were named to Phil Steele's first team: Darius Alexander (DL), Maxen Hook (safety), Jerjuan Newton (WR) and Jacquez Stuart (KR). Stuart was also chosen to the third-team as a running back.

Toledo has six home games, including the season opener vs. Duquesne on Thursday, Aug. 29 in the "Biggest Party in Toledo," the Homecoming Game vs. defending MAC Champion Miami on Saturday, Oct. 5 and the "Battle of I-75" vs. Bowling Green on Saturday, Oct. 26.
