TOLEDO, Ohio - Former Toledo Rockets
Nate Bauer,
Devin Maddox and
Nick Rosi have all been invited to attend upcoming mini-camps with NFL teams.
Bauer will attend the San Francisco 49ers' mini camp, Maddox will try out with Detroit, while Rosi will attend the Seattle Seahawks' mini-camp this week and the New York Giants' camp next week.
Bauer was a two-time All-MAC safety for Toledo, earning second-team honors in 2020 and 2022. In his six seasons wearing the Midnight Blue and Gold, Bauer tallied 245 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions and 10 pass breakups. Bauer was also a four-time Academic All-MAC honoree.
Maddox played five seasons for the Rockets as a wide receiver and kick returner. He caught 125 passes for 1,560 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career. He earned second-team All-MAC honors at punt returner in 2021.
Rosi was a three-time All-MAC offensive lineman who earned first-team honors in 2022 and 2023. This past season, Rosi was the leader of an offensive line that allowed just 11 sacks in 14 games, which ranked No. 4 in the country. The Rocket offense also ranked No. 1 in the MAC in total offense, rushing offense, passing offense and scoring. Like Bauer, Rosi was also a four-time Academic All-MAC honoree.
Bauer, Maddox and Rosi join five other Rockets from the 2023 team who are vying for spots on NFL rosters.Â
