Toledo to Host Cleveland State in First-Round WBIT Action on Thursday

Rockets are a No. 2 seed in inaugural 32-team tournament
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team's outstanding 2023-24 season will continue as the Rockets will host Cleveland State in a first-round game in the postseason Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) on Thursday, March 21 in Savage Arena (7:00 p.m. / ESPN+).

The 32-team WBIT field was announced Sunday night with regular-season Mid-American Conference Champion Toledo (26-5, 17-1 MAC) earning an automatic bid and a No. 2 seed. Cleveland State (29-5) was the Horizon League regular-season champion with an 18-2 league mark. Â This is the inaugural year for the WBIT, which is owned and run by the NCAA.
The winner of the Toledo-Cleveland State game will play the winner of the No. 3 seed Florida/St. John's game on Sunday, March 24. As the higher seed, Toledo would host that contest if it defeats CSU.
Tickets are available now and can be ordered online by going to utrockets.com/WBBTix,  calling or texting 419-530-GOLD (4653), or by stopping by the Rocket Ticket Office located in the Sullivan Athletic Complex at Savage Arena during normal business hours. Tickets are $23 for reserved seating, $18 for GA, $13 for Youth.  UT faculty/staff tickets are half price.
Women's Basketball Season Ticket Members will have first priority to reserve their seat locations. Those seats can be purchased through their online ticket account or through the Rocket Ticket Office. Season ticket members have until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday to reserve their seats for Thursday's game.
Parking for the first-round contest will follow the regular-season parking guidelines. Also, the Joe Grogan Room will be open to Rocket Fund donors.
