First-place Toledo puts six-game winning streak on the line on Saturday
TOLEDO, Ohio -Â Â The Toledo women's basketball team will put its six-game winning streak on the line when the Rockets head to Bowling Green for the second installment of the Battle of I-75 on Saturday (6:00 p.m./ESPN+).
Toledo won the first meeting with the Falcons, an 82-70 win at Savage Arena on Feb. 3. BGSU leads the all-time series, 45-43, but Toledo has won the last three contests.
Toledo enters Saturday's game tied for first in the MAC standings, sharing the top spot with Ball State (21-3, 10-1 MAC). Bowling Green (12-10, 6-5 MAC) is in fifth place.
Last Time Out
Toledo is coming off a 72-57 win vs. ULM in a MAC-Sun Belt Challenge game at Savage Arena last Saturday. Toledo won the first game of the challenge at James Madison, 60-49, on Nov. 8.
The victory was the sixth straight for Toledo (18-4, 10-1 MAC). Sammi Mikonowicz led Toledo with 13 points, followed by Quinesha Lockett and Sophia Wiard with 12 points each, and Khera Goss with 10 points.Â
The Rockets shot 24-of-58 (41.1%) from the field and was 15-of-20 from the free throw line (75.0%). Toledo held ULM to just 20-of-60 (33.3%) from the field and 7-of-23 (30.4%) from long range.

She also ranks seventh with 820 rebounds and is 14 away from passing Latoja Harris (833 from 1991-94) for sixth place. The all-time leader is Angela Drake (1,087 from 1993-97).
- Hannah Noveroske is shooting 65.0% (39-of-60) from the floor in MAC play.Â
- Toledo is the top free throw shooting team in the MAC, ranking first with a 75.4 FT%. Sophia Wiard is UT's top free throw shooter (88.2%) and is second in the MAC.
- Toledo leads the league in scoring defense (60.0) and ranks third in scoring offense (71.0).Â
