BOSTON – Senior Laura Nicholson broke the Toledo women's indoor track and field record in the 3,000m event at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Mass. on Saturday. Nicholson crossed the finish line with a time of 9:13.54 to place her name in the Toledo record book.

Nicholson's 9:13.54 time broke teammate Vilde Henriksen's previous record of 9:13.62 that was set in Boston in February of 2024. The senior placed 30th overall in the event against a highly competitive national field.

UP NEXT
Toledo will return to action after the New Year, competing at the Al Campbell Invitational in Akron, Ohio on Jan. 11, 2025.
