Rockets conclude fall season with ninth-place showing

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Junior Mads Jensen and freshman Bence Bertenyi each tied for 15^th place to lead the Toledo men's golf team at the Florida Atlantic Invitational in its final fall tournament on Tuesday. The Rockets finished in ninth place in the team standings at the par-71, 7,054-yard PGA National Resort Course.

Bertenyi tied for the team's best round of the day with a four-over par 75. He finished the 54-hole tournament tied with Jensen at six-over par 219. Senior CJ van Wyk (221) and sophomore Marijn Hoogeveen (227) also shot four-over 75s today and tied for 28^th and 49^th place, respectively.

Rounding out the Rockets' lineup were sophomore Marijn Hoogeveen (T-49^th/227) and junior Bence Kotel (74^th/238). Freshman Julius Lange competed as an individual and tied for 68^th at 234.

South Florida won the tournament with an even-par 852.

Toledo will now be idle until it returns to action in its spring season on Feb. 16-18 with a trip to Goodyear, Ariz for the Loyola Intercollegiate.
