TOLEDO, Ohio – In its first game action on the Savage Arena floor this season, the Toledo women's basketball team delivered an 87-54 victory over Findlay in front of a large crowd on Sunday.

Fan got their first look at the 2024-25 Rockets on Sunday, with 10 players seeing over 10 minutes of action. An estimated crowd of over 1,000 fans attended the Sunday matchup between the Rockets and the Oilers.

"Thank you, Team Toledo for showing out today, having you here was amazing," said Head Coach Ginny Boggess. "Even with today being 'only' an exhibition, it gave me the opportunity to practice what it will be like with a packed arena. I love the pace with which we played, the togetherness and the selflessness from the team. I think fans saw a lot of fresh faces and a lot of talent on this roster and I'm excited to build and grow with them every day. We'll see you back here on Nov. 4!"

Toledo built up an 11-5 lead in the opening minutes and would not trail the rest of the way. The Rockets' lead extended to 21-12 at the end of the first quarter and to 43-28 at halftime. Up 49-33 in the third, the Rockets went on an 11-0 run over 1:49 to extend the lead to 60-33. The 11-0 run was part of a 44-26 scoring advantage in the second half.

Toledo had three players score in double-figures on Sunday, led by graduate student Khera Goss with 16 points on 6-of-7 from the floor, along with classmate Nan Garcia and freshman Faith Fedd-Robinson with 12. All told, eight Rockets scored at least eight points on the afternoon. Six Rockets came up with at least four rebounds, led by Garcia and sophomore Ella Weaver with five each.

The Rockets shot 49.2% from the field (32-for-65) including 40.0% (8-for-20) from three. Toledo won the rebounding battle, 45-37, and committed just nine turnovers to Findlay's 16.

The Rockets' regular season tips off on Monday, Nov. 4 with Toledo taking on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. The matchup against the Thundering Herd will be streamed on ESPN+.
