Bulls score in the 58th and 78th minutes
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Toledo women's soccer team fell to Buffalo 2-0 off of a pair of second-half goals at UB Stadium on Thursday.

The Rockets (4-6-3, 1-3-2 MAC) were able to hold the Bulls off the scoreboard in the first half, but goals in the 58th and 78th minutes lifted Buffalo (9-1-3, 4-1-1) to victory.

Toledo got two shots from senior Olivia Dault, while five others recorded one shot on the night. Junior goalkeeper Agnes Stenlund finished with five saves on the evening.

"Very gritty effort from our group tonight," said Head Coach Mark Batman. "Really proud of them for battling through and creating some great chances. Tough result tonight, but a great opportunity coming up Sunday at home."

The Rockets will return home to face Miami on Sunday, Oct. 13. Kickoff from Paul Hotmer Field will be at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN+.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 24' | UT's Brooklyn Whitehead had a partial breakaway off of a through ball, but the shot from a tough angle near the net was saved by the goalkeeper.
- 32' | Buffalo's Jamie Gerber took a one-time shot off a cross from the center of the box, but the attempt was saved by Agnes Stenlund.
- 58' | After Buffalo took the ball up the right sideline, a pass to the top of the box was one-timed into the bottom-left corner by Kelly Severini to put UB up 1-0.
- 78' | A foul was called on Toledo for a push in the box, resulting in a Bulls' penalty kick. Ashley Reyes finished the ensuing attempt in the lower right corner for a 2-0 lead.
- Buffalo held a 19-7 shots advantage and led 9-1 in corners.
- Toledo held its opponent scoreless in the first half for the eighth consecutive game.
- Stenlund recorded five saves or more for the fifth time this season.
