TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming & diving team will host Findlay and Indianapolis on Saturday, Jan. 13 in its first home dual meet of the new year. The Rockets will take on the Oilers and Greyhounds, while the visiting men's teams will also compete in the dual.
Last Time in the Pool
The Rockets ended the first half of their season with a fifth-place finish at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup Invitational (Nov. 16-18). UT had 25 top-10 finishes, highlighted by the 200 medley relay team of freshman

Leah Gentry-Tuney, senior
Lauren Kilgore, and senior
Kennedy Lovell who broke the UT school record with a touch-time of 1:39.99. Gentry-Tuney also had a stellar individual performance in Cleveland, setting both the 50 and 100 breaststroke meet records at 28.64 and 1:01.32, respectively.
Evans and Gentry-Tuney have etched their names into the UT record books already this season. Evans' 100 backstroke (54.82) ranks fourth and 100 butterfly (55.02) ranks eighth. Gentry-Tuney's 100 breaststroke (1:01.22) ranks fourth and 100 freestyle (50.36) ranks fifth all-time.
About Findlay
Both Findlay's women's and No.7-ranked men's teams are coming off dual wins at John Carroll on Dec. 8. The Oilers won 16 combined events, including all four relays. Sofia Lesmes Montes swam an NCAA B Standard time of 55.71 to win the 100 butterfly, while Matteo Filipi was clocked at a school record and NCAA B Standard time of 15:36.20 to win the 1650 freestyle.
About Indianapolis
Indianapolis is the defending 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Swimming & Diving Champion and Women's Swimming & Diving Champion runner-up. The Greyhounds came out victorious in their dual-gender long course meet with Denison and Cleveland State last week by winning a combined 20 events.
The Rockets last met the Oilers and Greyhounds in a tri-meet at Indianapolis on Dec. 16, where UT came out victorious against both squads.
