MUNCIE, Ind. – Sophomore Kaema Amachree scored a quick goal for Toledo two minutes after back-to-back Ball State goals in the second half, but the Rockets couldn't score the equalizer in a 2-1 loss to the Cardinals on Thursday afternoon at the Briner Sports Complex.

Following a scoreless first half, three goals were scored in the first 10 minutes after halftime. The Cardinals scored in the 49^th and 51^st minutes, but sophomore Kaema Amachree got the Rockets on the board with a goal in the 53^rd minute. The Rockets threatened with five shots in the final 10 minutes but could not tally another goal to tie the match.

"I am very proud of things that happened this game and the team had a great response," Head Coach Mark Batman said. "We have to get better defensively in big moments, but the fight in the final 30 minutes was fantastic. If one of the chances we created that just missed went in, I was confident we would have scored another. We need to find ways to start games like we finish them."
