TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track & field team will travel east along I-80 to compete in the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday-Saturday, May 11-13. The three-day meet will be held at Lee R. Lou Trois will look to defend her 1500m title this weekend in Akron. She posted a finals time of 4:19.45 at the 2022 MAC Outdoor Championships to claim one of the two Toledo individual titles in last year's meet. The Rockets has 12 podium finishes, including two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. Trois, along with Emily Vining, Faith Linga, Semra Karaslan, and Stephanie Sherman all extended their season and qualified to compete at the NCAA East Regional Championships Meet in Bloomington, Ind.

Most recently, Trois and Alex Bauer traveled to West Virginia University on Saturday, May 6 to conclude the outdoor regular-season competition at the Last Chance Meet, placing first and second in the 1500m. Trois nearly set a season-best time with her 4:26.26 performance while Bauer came within a second of her personal-best time in the event at 4:27.57.

This season, Toledo has recorded 48 top-10 finishes including four crowns and eight runner-up finishes. Trois holds the fastest 800m (2:10.26) and 1500m (4:24.90) times for the Rockets, while Bauer has the fastest 3000m steeplechase time of 10:47.47.

For the fourth-straight week, Toledo's 10,000m runners group ranked No. 11 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) #EventSquad rankings. The 3000m steeplechase squad came in at No. 21 in its second ranking of the season.
