TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team returns home on Wednesday night to host Kent State at Savage Arena. The Rockets (23-4, 14-2 MAC) and Golden Flashes (19-8, 11-5 MAC) will tip off at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
With two games remaining in the regular season, Toledo sits one-game ahead of Ball State (23-6, 13-3 MAC) and Bowling Green (24-4, 13-3 MAC) in the conference standings. Should the Rockets win on Wednesday, they would clinch at least a share of their second straight Mid-American Conference Championship.

The Battle of I-75 presented by Cooper Tires will tip off at 2:00 p.m. Prior to the game seniors Jayda Jansen and Justina King will be honored during the team's Senior Day presentation.

UT is coming off a hard-fought 72-70 win at Ball State on Saturday. The Cardinals led for much of the first half on Saturday in Muncie, but Toledo outscored them 28-19 in the second quarter and took a 42-37 lead into halftime. From the 3:48 point of the second quarter through the 2:21 mark of the third, UT outscored Ball State 25-9 to take a 17-point lead. The Cardinals didn't go down quietly though, rallying to within two points with a chance to win or tie the game in their final possession.
Quinesha Lockett scored a game-high 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, her 11th 20-point game of the season. Sammi Mikonowicz recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Sophia Wiard was one rebound away from a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Nan Garcia contributed 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Toledo won the previous meeting against Kent State back on Jan. 14. Quinesha Lockett scored 36 points to lead UT to a 77-68 victory against the Golden Flashes. Lockett knocked down 13-of-17 shots from the field, including 4-of-7 from three-point range, to come within one point of her career mark of 37 points scored in a WNIT contest at Marquette last year. The game was tied at halftime, 32-32, before Lockett put on a show in the second half with 23 points.
