TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track & field team will head to South Bend, Ind. for this weekend's Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The two-day meet begins on Friday with field events at 4:00 p.m. Saturday will begin with running events at 10:00 a.m. in the Loftus Sports Center.
The Rockets had a huge showing at both Boston University's John Thomas terrier Classic and Tiffin's Invitational & Combined Events meets last weekend.
Junior
Madeline Vining made school history, running a 9:16.87 in the 3000m and crushing the program record that was set by Brianna Shook (9:23.90) in 2003. Ten other Rockets set personal-best times in Boston, and five made it onto the Toledo all-time indoor top-10 list. Joining Vining on that list were junior

Audrey Witham (800m) all recorded event wins for the Rockets.
Vining's effort on Saturday earned her MAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week and MAC Female Scholar of the Week honors.
Toledo jumped up four spots in this week's US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Great Lakes Region rankings from No. 21 to No. 14 with 54.11 pts. The USTFCCCA #EventSquad rankings were released this week, and the Rockets rank No. 14 in the Women's 3000 Meters and No. 13 in the Women's Mile, the only Mid-American Conference school on the list.
