Tipoff set for 2:00 p.m. at Savage Arena

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team will play its final non-conference game of the regular season on Saturday when it hosts Hillsdale at 2:00 p.m. at Savage Arena. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Saturday's game is part of the Rockets' Winter Spectacular, during which fans can purchase discounted bleacher tickets for $8.00. Last Time Out
Toledo's last on-court action came on Dec. 20 in a 70-45 defeat at Duke. The loss snapped UT's five-game winning streak.

The Rockets hung tough with the Blue Devils in the first half and forced 10 turnovers in the first two quarters. Duke outscored UT 21-6 in the third quarter and that put enough distance between the two teams for the remainder of the night. Sophia Wiard led Toledo with a season-high 21 points and carried the bulk of the offensive workload in the absence of Quinesha Lockett, who missed the game due to injury.

Toledo is the MAC's second-best free throw shooting team, its 75.5% free throw percentage ranking just behind Akron (76.2%) for the top spot in the league.
Toledo leads the MAC in scoring defense (62.0) and ranks third in field goal percentage defense (39.4%). Opponents have shot below 40% from the floor six times against UT this season.
Sophia Wiard leads the MAC in assist/turnover ratio (2.05) and ranks third in assists (4.78). She has led Toledo in assists in seven of nine games this year.
Wiard has 504 career assists, which ranks 13th among active Division I players.
Quinesha Lockett (15.3 PPG) and Wiard (13.7 PPG) rank fourth and seventh in the MAC in scoring, respectively. Toledo is the only team in the league with two players among the Top 10 in scoring.
Hannah Noveroske is averaging 1.56 BPG, which ranks third in the MAC. She had a season-high three blocks against Cincinnati and Michigan.

Hillsdale is 5-6 entering play on Saturday after defeating Davenport, 66-61, at home on Thursday. Caitlin Splain led the way for the Chargers offensively, scoring a game-high 18 points. Splain leads Hillsdale in scoring, averaging 13.4 PPG this season, and Lauren McDonald is close behind at 11.1 PPG.
