Toledo Announces Addition of Hanamichi Carvajal

TOLEDO, Ohio – Head Coach Al Wermer announced the addition of sophomore transfer Hanamichi Carvajal to the Toledo men's tennis team. Carvajal will join the Rockets' roster in January 2024 before the first match at Indiana on Saturday, Jan. 13.

About Hanamichi:

Helped Cowley College capture the 2023 NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis National Championship, the program's first title since 1991. Individually finished runner-up at the No. 4 singles court for the second-straight season.
Helped Cowley College (KS) capture back-to-back NJCAA Regional IV Tennis Championships. He won the No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles courts at the 2023 tournament.
Was ranked No. 1 in 16U in his home country of Chile.
