TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's basketball program will have four games in January televised nationally, including its first three league contests, the Mid-American Conference office announced today.

The Rockets' MAC opener at Ohio (Tuesday, Jan. 2) will be on ESPNU, with UT's next two contests vs. Miami (Friday, Jan. 5) and at Kent State (Tuesday, Jan. 9) being televised by the CBS Sports Network. The Rockets' contest against the RedHawks in Savage Arena was originally slated to be played on Saturday, Jan. 6.

UT's game at Central Michigan will be moved to a Friday as well, with the CBS Sports Network televising that contest against the Chippewas on Jan. 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Toledo may have more national television contests added later in the conference campaign with all MAC TV games in February and early March being announced as 21-day wild-card selections.

The Rockets have played games on national television seven or more times in each of the last three seasons. Last year, UT had eight national TV appearances, two on ESPN2 and six on the CBS Sports Network.

Toledo made history last year under 2022-23 MAC Coach of the Year Tod Kowalczyk by becoming the first current MAC school to win three consecutive outright league titles. The Rockets tied a school record with their 27-8 overall mark and also posted a 16-2 ledger in league play.  Toledo has posted a 74-35 record over the last three years with its 74 victories ranking 13th in the nation during this stretch.

UT returns the junior starting guard tandem of Dante Maddox Jr. and Ra'Heim Moss as well as junior Tyler Cochran, junior Andre Lorentsson and redshirt freshman Javan Simmons. Five freshmen are joining the team, along with William & Mary transfer Ben Wight (10.9 ppg, 5.2 apg).
