Rockets Race RedHawks in Dual Season Finale at Miami

Toledo will compete in its last dual meet before the conference championship on Feb. 22-25 in Oxford, Ohio
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will compete in its final dual meet of the season against Miami on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 3:00 p.m. The Rockets and RedHawks will compete in the Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, Ohio.
Last Time Out
The Rockets were defeated 88-187 to Buffalo and 81-219 to Ohio last Friday. Junior Madison Giglio won both diving events in the tri-meet at the UT Student Rec Center. In the lanes, four Rockets had personal-best finishes in their respective events, including freshman Paula Pavillard-Salvador (100 backstroke), sophomore Lindsey Creek (200 butterfly), senior Ashley LeFever (50 freestyle), and sophomore Caitlin Heinze (100 butterfly). Both junior Ryle Harden and freshman Annie Bartlett also scored PRs on the one-and-three meter boards.
Giglio dove a PR 275.10 on the one-meter, a season-best 308.70 on the three-meter and earned MAC Women's Diver of the week honors.
About Miami (3-2, 0-2 MAC)
Miami most recently won its dual matchup vs. Ball State on Jan. 21 by a 167-132 final score. The RedHawks won both relay events, the 1,000 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 butterfly, 200 backstroke, 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 400 IM. Miami will race against Kenyon College on Friday afternoon before going against Toledo on Saturday. Miami is scheduled to host the 2023 MAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 22-25.
