Toledo Opens 2023 at UB Diving Invitational

Rockets diving squad will compete for three days in Buffalo starting Friday morning
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will be back in the pool this weekend after nearly three weeks away. The Rockets (3-2, 1-1 MAC) will send their five divers to compete at the UB Diving Invitational on Friday-Sunday, Jan. 13-15 in Buffalo, NY.
Last Time Out
Seniors Jovana Duric and Kennedy Lovell, and sophomores Molly Preller and Lindsey Creek competed at the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Open Water Championships in Miami, Fla., on Sunday, Dec. 18. Duric led the four Rockets with a 60-place finish (1:03:11.5) in the 5K race around Biscayne Bay, and the team finished 15th overall in a pool of 21 teams.
On the diving board, junior Madison Giglio highlighted the Rockets at the West Virginia Diving Invitational on Nov. 17-19. She finished ninth (260.55) on the three-meter and 16th (241.55) on the one-meter boards.
Last Time at Buffalo
At the 2022 UB Diving Invitational, Giglio took sixth in the one-meter board and fourth on the three-meter. Senior Ryli Harden finished seventh on the three-meter, while sophomore Kassie Gutierrez took 12 overall in the three-meter and won the platform dive.
