Toledo starts MAC play at Bowling Green on Thursday and hosts Northern Illinois for Senior Day on Sunday.

Toledo Opens MAC Play this Week

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team will open Mid-American Conference action this week in Bowling Green on Thursday before hosting Northern Illinois on Sunday afternoon. Thursday's annual Battle of I-75 will kick off at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday's match will begin with senior day recognition before the 1:00 p.m. start time at Paul Hotmer Field. Both games willl be streamed locally on BCSN.

About Toledo
Toledo (1-4-2) closed its non-conference schedule with a 5-0 setback at Arizona State Sunday evening. Redshirt freshman Karson Hill stopped a career-high 16 shots in the contest, the third-highest amount in a single game by a Toledo goalkeeper. Junior Emily Mann put up two of Toledo's four shots, matching her season high. Senior Morgan Otteson is ranked first in the MAC in shots on goal (14), and is third in both shots (22) and goals (4). Hill jumped to the top of the goalkeeper's rankings with an average of 7.00 saves per game.  

About Bowling Green
Bowling Green's two-match winning streak was snapped by Xavier on Sept. 18 and the Falcons now have a 2-3-1 record heading into this week. The Falcons were defeated 1-0 in their final non-conference matchup with the Musketeers. BG's goalkeeper Lili Berg stopped a career-high 10 shots and has 25 saves this season.

About Northern Illinois
Northern Illinois' two-game losing streak came to an end with its 2-0 win over Chicago State on Sept. 18 to advance to 3-2-2 this season. The Huskies scored first at the 7-minute mark and then added the insurance goal off a penalty kick in the second half. NIU will host Western Michigan Thursday night before coming to the Glass City for Sunday's match.
