The Toledo men will run an 8K and the women will follow with a 5K at Indiana State's John McNichol's Invitational on Saturday.

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo cross country teams will cross state boarders to Terre Haute, Ind. to compete at Indiana State's John McNichol's Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17. The men's 8K, their first run of the season at that distance, will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the women's 5K will follow at 9:45 a.m.

The women's team recently received votes in this week's NCAA DI Women's Cross Country Coaches' Poll for the second-straight week, and is the only Mid-American Conference program to grace the list.

In their only other competition of the season, the men took first at the Ohio XC Invitational on Sept. 2. Senior Mathew Chesum and sophomore Dennis Mutai finished first and second, respectively. In the same race, the Rockets took second on the women's side, where junior Margrett Watt won her first collegiate race, followed in by freshman McKinley Fielding in second place.
