Allie Clifton to Headline Tipoff Dinner on Oct. 13

TOLEDO, Ohio – Former Toledo women's basketball player and five-time Emmy Award winning broadcaster Allie Clifton will headline the Rockets' 2022 Tipoff Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 13 in the Student Union Auditorium.
A four-year letterwinner and three-time team captain as a player at Toledo, Clifton won five Emmy Awards as a sideline reporter for the Cleveland Cavaliers for Fox Sports Ohio. She was since moved to Spectrum Sports Net where she is a sideline reporter for Los Angeles Lakers games and a studio host for Lakers and Dodgers games.
"We are thrilled to welcome Allie Clifton back to campus for our Toledo Women's Basketball Tipoff Dinner," Head Coach Tricia Cullop said. "Since she graduated from in 2010, her career in sports broadcasting has taken off. Our Rocket fans will be excited to see her, and I can't wait for our players to hear about her journey. As a player and in her profession, Allie embodies the blue collar, gold standard work ethic we live by. She was a joy to coach and it has been fun to follow her successful career. We've sold out our last two Tipoff Dinners so I encourage fans to get their tickets early!"
The cost to attend the fundraiser will be $55 per person, $100 per couple, and $10 per child (10 & under). Attendees can also purchase eight-person tables for either $500 or $1,000, the latter of which includes a group photo with Cullop and Clifton.
Attendees will be able to enjoy food donated by local restaurants and can bid on exciting prizes at a silent auction. Business casual attire is requested.
Parking will be available in Lot 10 on campus and valet parking will be available next to the Student Union in the circle on West Centennial Drive.
