TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving program earned Scholar All-America Team honors after ranking second nationally with a cumulative 3.82 GPA in the spring 2022 semester. The Rockets were one of 731 teams from 411 institutions recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association's (CSCAA).
The Rockets trailed only the Stanford women who recorded a 3.83 GPA. Harvard topped all men's teams with a 3.78 GPA.
The CSCAAÂ Executive Director Samantha Barany had this to say about the Rockets, "Coach Globig is preparing this team for success into the future."
This team honor is the second CSCAA academic honor for the Rockets in the 2021-22 season.
Brie Globig's team earned a 3.79 GPA during the fall 2021 semester, which was the highest of all women's Division I programs.
The women's swimming & diving team recorded the highest spring semester team GPA of all the 16 varsity teams at the University of Toledo. Twelve swimmers and divers earned a perfect 4.0 term GPA including
Hannah Beavers,
Sydnee Dressel,
Annabelle Haberkorn,
Ryli Harden,
Caitlin Heinze Sydney Jackson,
Ashley Lefever,
Lisa Lohner,
Kennedy Lovell,
Kendra Polewski,
Morgan Schuld, and
Caroline Wallenborg. Another 11 Rockets earned a spot on the Dean's List with a 3.5 GPA or higher.Â
