TOLEDO, Ohio - Joe Abraham announced today that he is stepping down from his position as head softball coach at The University of Toledo effective June 1 to pursue other opportunities. Abraham had served as head coach for the Rockets since 2019.

Vice President and Athletic Director Bryan Blair said that a search for Abraham's replacement will begin immediately.

"We appreciate Joe's service at The University of Toledo," said Blair. "We will work diligently to find the next head coach for Toledo Softball."

Abraham had an overall record of 83-99 (36-46 MAC) in his four seasons at Toledo. Prior to his tenure at Toledo, Abraham served as head coach at Hillsdale (Mich.) College from 2012-18 and at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash. from 2008-11.
