TIFFIN, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team closed out the Tiffin Invitational Saturday afternoon with a first-place finish by the Toledo 'A' team in the 4x100m relay. Shianne Johnson, Ava Moran, Mayson Bates and Meyah Haywood crossed the line at 47.95.

Toledo had a 5-6 finish in the javelin throw by freshman Mayson Bates (28.70m) and senior Allison Vogl (26.80m), respectively. Bates' throw was the second-best mark by the team this season, while Vogl's was third best and a personal record.

In the Gold 4x100 Relay, Shianne Johnson, Ava Moran, Mayson Bates and Meyah Haywood crossed the line for Toledo 'A' team with a season-best 47.95.

UT will head to Charlottesville, Va. for its next meet at the Virginia Challenge on April 22-23.
