Rockets to Compete at CSCAA National Invitational Championship

TOLEDO, Ohio – Four student-athletes from the Toledo women's swimming and diving team will compete in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship on Thursday-Saturday March 10-12 in Elkhart, Ind.
Freshman Molly Pressler, sophomore Sydney Conrad, and juniors Jovana Duric and Kennedy Lovell will participate in the championships. Prelims are set to begin each morning at 9:30 a.m. and finals are scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Individual and relay teams qualify for the CSCAA National Invitational Championship by winning their respective event(s) at a collegiate conference championship. Individuals or relay teams who equal or surpass the CSCAA 'A' standard during the qualifying period are eligible to compete at the event. Swimmers who qualify for the meet automatically can also enter individual events if they have achieved the CSCAA 'B' standard during the qualifying period.
Last Time Out
Toledo took eighth place with 233.5 points at the Mid-American Conference Championships at Bowling Green, Ohio on Feb. 23-25. Jovana Duric had two podium finishes, including third in the 1650 freestyle and seventh in the 500 freestyle.
Lovell had six combined podium finishes, including seventh in the 100 freestyle and ninth in the 200 freestyle. Lovell also set the individual 100 freestyle school record at 49.62, was part of the 400 Freestyle Relay team to set a school record time of 3:21.48, and was part of the 200 Freestyle Relay team that set a school record at 1:32.30.
